Youth4Energy | Youth4Champions is a youth-led regional initiative operating across Latin America and the Caribbean to strengthen youth participation, leadership, and capacity in the sustainable energy sector. Operating for 1-3 years, the organization develops training programmes, fellowships, knowledge-sharing events, and community energy projects that empower young people to engage in energy policy, clean energy development, and climate action.
Its flagship initiative, the Youth4Energy Champions Fellowship, aims to train 100 young leaders through a four-month programme covering clean energy technologies, energy governance, green jobs, digital innovation, energy access, and leadership development. The project also organizes regional webinars and youth engagement activities that connect young people with international energy and climate discussions.
In addition, Youth4Energy is developing a community-based renewable energy project in the Indigenous Community of Nauta in the Peruvian Amazon. The initiative proposes the installation of a solar photovoltaic system and satellite internet access to provide reliable electricity, digital connectivity, and improved educational opportunities for a remote community currently lacking these essential services.
