Project Description

Energyzer is a youth-led, AI-enabled digital platform designed to support the workforce needs of the UK’s clean energy transition. Currently in the testing and prototyping stage, the platform brings together career guidance, skills development, mentorship, training opportunities, and job pathways for students, graduates, apprentices, and early- to mid-career professionals seeking careers in the energy sector.

Developed in response to growing skills shortages and talent pipeline challenges across the energy industry, Energyzer uses artificial intelligence and industry data to help users identify skills gaps, explore career pathways, connect with mentors, and access relevant opportunities within the clean energy ecosystem. Since launching its first version, the platform has demonstrated strong early demand, attracting approximately 200 users within its first few days.

Impact: Supports workforce development, skills acquisition, career progression, diversity, and access to opportunities within the clean energy sector, contributing to SDGs 4, 7, 8, and 9.

Revenue Model: User fees, sales to individuals and private organizations, corporate partnerships, event fees, donations, grants, and prizes.

Expenses: AI infrastructure, cloud computing and API services, software development, industry data research, content development, community engagement activities, mentorship programmes, and outreach initiatives.

Challenges: Securing resources to scale the platform, expanding AI capabilities, strengthening market visibility, and building credibility with users, employers, and investors.

Vision: To become the leading energy careers and workforce platform supporting more than 100,000 students and early-career professionals while helping employers connect with diverse, skilled talent needed to deliver the clean energy transition and net-zero objectives.

Development Stage: Testing and Prototyping.
