WiseCool, is an innovative project pioneered by DeWise Energy to solve the problem of limited access to healthcare delivery in Etoug-Ebe community by providing sustainable and reliable solar-powered cold storage unit that extends the shelf life of essential drugs from a single day to over 365 days, ensuring continuous access to vital healthcare resources for over 3000 inhabitants of Etoug Ebe Community. Equipped with IoT sensors, WiseCool ensures real time tracking of temperatures, humidity and energy consumption ensuring a sustainable storage for healthcare resources even for remote off-grid communities without access to electricity. This enables local healthcare providers to save up to 50% in healthcare cost and reduce reliance on fossil fuels which are not only expensive but environmentally unfriendly.
WiseCool is complemented by WiseApp, a telemedicine platform that connects patients with health care providers ensuring remote consultation for rural communities reducing the need for travel and making health care more accessible. WiseApp enables efficient follow-ups and check-ups enabling patients to receive ongoing support till they are completely treated.
By incorporating solar technology with IoT, DeWise envisions improving access to healthcare for a million Cameroonians by 2030, ensuring that every individual regardless of their background and geography can access the quality healthcare they deserve, powered by clean, affordable and reliable energy
