The fireless stove is a cutting-edge clean cooking appliance made to use less energy and less conventional cooking techniques. This project ensures access to sustainable, inexpensive, and dependable cooking energy, so directly addressing Sustainable Development Goal No. 7. By using thermal retention technology, the fireless stove uses less energy than traditional stoves and keeps food cooking even after it has been taken away from the main heat source.
This strategy cuts greenhouse gas emissions, mitigates the health effects of long-term smoke exposure, and dramatically lowers household energy expenses. By offering instruction on how to build, operate, and maintain the stove, the project also empowers women and young people and promotes local business.
By encouraging eco-friendly behaviors and expanding access to energy, the fireless stove has the potential to enhance livelihoods, particularly in rural and peri-urban areas. The initiative intends to increase community capacity, scale its impact, and support a sustainable energy future through the YSEH program.
