Dependence on traditional biomass fuels and inefficient farming methods not only contributes to deforestation and environmental degradation but also places an excessive burden on women, who spend long hours collecting firewood and managing household energy needs.
The lack of access to renewable energy solutions further restricts women’s ability to participate in income-generating activities, limiting opportunities for economic empowerment. Additionally, unsustainable agricultural practices lead to soil degradation, reduced yields, and increased vulnerability to climate change. Without intervention, these challenges perpetuate the cycle of poverty and environmental destruction in rural areas.
